Online Store for 8,000+ Building Materials — asbshop.ge Case Study
The task
ASB Trade is a wholesale building materials warehouse in Tbilisi: electrical, lighting, cable, paints, tools and security systems. The company used to have an online price list of 2,000+ items. The range grew several times over, and it needed a real online store — so that private buyers and companies alike could find products fast, build an order by the piece or by the pack, and place it without calling a manager.
What we built
- Moved the entire warehouse online: 8,000+ products in 120 categories and 52 brands, each with its own page — price, photos, description and related products.
- Wholesale prices from a single item: each product page shows the pack price next to the unit price, and the cart mixes single items and packs.
- Company invoices straight from the cart: the buyer enters company details and the invoice arrives by email within a minute, with all documents stored alongside the order in the customer account.
- A materials picker: a four-step wizard calculates paint, primer and tools by area, or cable and circuit breakers for an apartment — and fills the cart.
- POLUS paint tinting to any RAL colour, search by name, brand and barcode, and a chat with a manager on every page.
- For search engines: 13 how-to guides and product markup for Google, so the store can be found in search.
- The catalogue is in Georgian and Russian, with sections and guides in English too; the site installs on a phone like an app.
The result
The store is built around the warehouse's main sections: a building materials catalogue of paints and varnishes, electrical, tools and CCTV. Each section has its own categories and brands.
Buyers who aren't sure what to pick get help from the buyer guides: how to choose a circuit breaker, how much paint a room needs, which cable to use for sockets and lighting.
